Syed Bokhari, MD, FACC

Ultrasound duplex, that uses high-frequency sound waves to create images, is a non-invasive study to detect the blood flow in the arteries or the veins. It can be very useful in evaluating the plaque buildup in the arteries and blood clots, varicosities or reflux in the veins to determine candidates for further treatments for improvement of their symptoms.
